ISO 13179: Implants for surgery - Plasma-sprayed unalloyed titanium coatings on metallic surgical implants - Part 1: General requirements

This umbrella standard summarizes the tests and requirements on plasma-sprayed unalloyed titanium coatings. EndoLab does perform morphology as well as mechanical test. The ISO standard references ASTM F1854 for morphology, ASTM F1044, F1160 and F1147 for static and dynamic strength. Abrasion resistance is determined according to ASTM F1978
