ASTM F2942: Standard Guide for in vitro Axial, Bending, and Torsional Durability Testing of Vascular Stents

The purpose of this test is to evaluate aspects of the long-term dimensional and structural integrity of vascular and peripheral implants under cyclic axial, bending, torsional, and radial loading conditions. High precision motors and digital closed-loop control of the test system allow for exact controlling during testing. The actual outer diameter of the mock vessel is scanned by a contactless diameter scanning system (LED).
