EndoLab® successfully developed and validated a new test setup to measure the initial and post-cyclic glenoid fixation of a reverse shoulder systems. The glenoid component is “implanted” into a bone substrate material and the fixation is measured under axial compressive and a shear loading condition. The induced micromotions at the glenoid baseplate and glenosphere assembly is measured in shear and axial compressive load direction. Displacement measurements are performed using latest generation, high-accuracy digital contact sensors.
