Creating Abrasive Components for Total Hip Replacement Wear Testing

In order to try and create the phenomenon of third body wear, femoral heads can be roughened using a tumbling polisher.

The roughening of the femoral heads is performed according to a procedure described by Korduba et al [1] before wear testing.
EndoLab is pleased to offer the whole package, roughening of the femoral heads, surface roughness measurements after femoral head roughening as well as wear testing according to ISO 14242-1.
