Frictional torque measurements of THR systems

A highly innovative custom-made frictional torque measuring device, adapted to the EndoLab® hip joint simulator, was designed.

Based on a high precision spherical air bearing, the frictional torque of THR systems can be determined for unidirectional movements as well as for simultaneous 3-axis motions.
