Tribological loading of cartilage (TEMPs)

Mechanical loading of biological implants, intended for cartilage replacement, is an important research and pre-clinical testing tool. EndoLab® has developed a multi-station cartilage tester, based on studies performed by Wimmer et al., that fits into an incubator. Complex tribological test conditions are combined with biochemical analysis methods to gain insight into the behavior of living cells under simulated in-vivo conditions.
